Snowflake Meme, Day #7

I promise--I honestly, sincerely promise--that I am going to catch up on several other bits of the Snowflake Challenge (probably not the social-interaction-with-strangers ones, because social anxiety woooo), and I actually have a detailed recs post half-coded for Day Two (rec other people's fic, especially rareish fic) which I keep getting distracted from by other things (I'm still going through everyone else's self-rec lists from Day One, as well as real life and other fannish activities); this is not turning into an All About Me thing, I promise.

That said, Day 7: create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive.

(Whether or not you've been participating, and whether or not you investigate my own wishlist, I also would like to encourage you to check out everyone else's wishlists (not all of them if you'd rather not, of course! maybe just click a few at random?) to see if there's anything that someone else would like that you're willing and able to provide.)

1. General request: I would be thrilled and honored to receive any kind of fan-creation connected to one of my fics--fanart/graphics/etc., remixes/inspired-bys, commentary, anything that's a way of interacting with fic. (I would be also honored and would brag about it everywhere if someone wanted to podfic something I've written, but I'm bad enough at auditory processing that it's a bit of a struggle to listen to stories and I probably wouldn't be able to appreciate podfic-of-my-fic as much as it deserves to be appreciated, which would probably be a disappointment to the potential podficcer.)


2. Stargate: Atlantis fic/fic rec request: I'd love to have fic bringing Elizabeth back from the whole replicator plot at a point of your choosing without pairing her with John (or Caldwell). Genfic is totally fine! If genfic is not your thing, my personal favorite (yet tragically rare) Elizabeth pairing is with Radek Zelenka, but I am also open to many other options, het or femslash or poly (or background slash with no Elizabeth ship, whatever). Fic recs would also be welcomed, if you know of fixfic for the replicator thing that isn't Elizabeth/John already in existence (I haven't found any).


3. Daredevil [Marvel Comics] fic/fic rec request: This is a fandom I very recently tripped and fell into (full disclosure: I am still in the process of consuming all the canon because there is kind of a lot of it and the older stuff is...weird...) and there are actually rather a lot of things I'd like to see fic of that I haven't been able to find, or have barely been able to find after a lot of vigorous searching. I think the two things I'd most like to see are Matt and Natasha having adventures or even just hanging out (I really love the way they interact as exes, but I'm not opposed to the ship, either), and basically anything at all Matt/Foggy (or even genfic focusing on their friendship). Any fic which involves both of these requests will probably gain my undying adoration. [Sidenote in case anyone actually intends to write something for this: the Daredevil film is A Thing Of Which I Do Not Speak (Except To Mock), but if you'd like to fold the relevant character(s) from the comics into the Avengers filmverse for any reason, I would definitely not object. Whatever makes it easier.]

Re: #2, YES, so much YES. While I'm a committed femslasher, I gotta say that your Weir/Zalenka shout-out made me make an undignified 'd'awwwdorable' noise -- and who better than he to understand her replicatedness?

...Well. I can think of one person – the only direction in which I can point you is this sweet, sexy Repliweir/Replicarter story, and the first part of this one. Three cheers for the Replicarter tag on AO3.

I swung by here from the Snowflake Challenge hoping for a podfic request, and I'm super excited that you have one! =] As soon as I can find some time (if my house is ever suitably quiet, that is) I would like very much to record "Snow on Roses" and "Super Terra In Caelo". I enjoyed reading them, and since I don't know anything about your other fandoms I don't really feel comfortable reading those.

I completely understand if you don't want to listen or don't enjoy the experience; I decided to get into podfic because I love listening to stories as I do chores or knit and things, I honestly love reading aloud and have been told I do a decent job of it. It's actually really cool that you're open to podfic when a lot of the folks I know who have difficulty processing spoken-word have not understood the love I have for audiobooks.

I'll let you know as soon as I have one of them ready to go, and I'm really looking forward to this. Thanks so much for the opportunity to read good things out loud! =D

I have a lot of friends who really enjoy audiobooks and/or podfic, and I've often wished I had some way to read while doing things that require both hands but very little of my brain, so it's always seemed fairly obvious to me that stories out loud are an excellent thing for the people who can enjoy them that way.
