I've thought about making graphs for Supernatural and Stargate Atlantis (and probably Stargate SG-1) OOOO! I'd love to see that!
This was fascinating. I'm all glazed over by the numbers, but I enjoyed reading. It would be interesting to see if your results were much different if the 1K search results were lifted and you could get numbers for every single fic.
Also, the results may be skewed a bit by people uploading their whole library of fic all at once. If you get a lot of prolific slash authors (or Chakotay/Kathryn Janeway authors, or what have you) uploading everything at once right before you take your numbers then that will skew the numbers a bit too. Though obviously the AO3 is still very self-selecting.
