Both satisfying and useful! The district frequently fails to listen to its actual employees about problems, but will respond better to parents and/or other members of the broader community. (Also, in particular when it comes to fixing things, they have an infuriating habit of not believing office staff (i.e. pretty much exclusively women) when it comes to the severity of problems--at some point when I am less tired I can tell you about the basement waterfall, if you'd like.)

And no, fortunately they don't evacuate us if there is a bee, they reverse-evacuate us--it's kind of like rewinding a fire drill? Everyone who's outside goes inside as quickly as possible, and then you have to make sure they're all in there and safely accounted-for. You can do a reverse evacuation as a necessary first step for a lockdown, but we are not required to go into lockdown for bees.

...I think.
